Does anyone know what is up the hill behind the mountains now? There are a buildings there and on several occasions I have been poking around near the creek and I've seen vehicles driving up there. Also, if you look at the are on google earth you can see some buildings hidden up there. Is it houses? My wife and I hiked in though the back and found a weird ass shrine looking area in the woods where clearly someone was living...didn't want to disturb some crazy mountain man so we turned back.

I used MSN Live Search to look around up there to plan my trips. It is much clearer than Google Earth. There are trailers parked all over the place and on Google Earth they do look like buildings. If you use the bird's eye view everything is very clear. There is a house behind where the ain movie sets were. I haven't been back there because it is private property. Could you give a better discription of where the shrine is? I'd be curious to see it.

There was a big rock with an overhang making a small cave. There were 2 American flags, sleeping bags, clothes and little sculptures placed all around the rocks. There were also tons of railroad ties that were all painted bright colors in little formations everywhere. Lots if little trinkets and crap hanging in the trees. There was also food laying around and remnants of a fire. If you give me your email I can send you a pic.
