Remember the Natalee Holloway case from Aruba that seemed to have reached a dead end? Well, they've arrested the same three suspects on suspicion of involvement in manslaughter and causing seriously bodily harm. The prosecutor's office says they have found new evidence.

And sadly, they have all been released again. That whole situation so smells...

If they can just ever find a body, then things might turn around. Perhaps they could detect drugs or DNA. It's been so long now, it's hard to tell if they could come up with much, though.

For sure....finding the body is always of the upmost importance, especially with todays level of forensic science. Thats something im afraid they are not going to be able to do. I dont think there is body left to find...my guess is that fellows father, a judge there, took care of that part of the situation.....

As soon as we wrote the whole thing off, it looks like a solution is just around the corner:

De Vries' hidden cameras caught Dutch student van der Sloot saying that Holloway died after having sex with him and that he then dumped her body at sea with the help of a friend.

But in a new development, van der Sloot now says that he was lying when he privately told an acquaintance that he was involved in Holloway's disappearance.

"It is true I told someone. Everybody will see it Sunday," Van der Sloot said on the Dutch television show "Pauw & Witteman," according to The Associated Press.

"That is what he wanted to hear, so I told him what he wanted to hear," Van der Sloot said, adding that he never fully trusted the man to whom he'd confessed.

"It is so stupid, it is so stupid, it is really stupid," Van der Sloot said, his voice cracking, the AP reported.

I can see somebody being stupid enough to joke with a friend that they had done such a thing. But why confess to somebody "he never fully trusted"? That would be absolutely ignorant.
