In the Hinman murder and events leading up to it, Manson cut Hinman's face/ear with what is described as a sword or bayonet.

I thought I read that DeCarlo turned this over to the police at some point.

Does anyone know exactly what this sword or bayonet was? Ex. M-1 Carbine Bayonet?

After cutting Hinman, did Manson leave this sword/bayonet with Bobbie? Is this the weapon that Bobbie killed Hinman with?

IIRC, it was a samurai sword or something, that bikers or someone gave him.

I thought I either read or saw an interview that said this was a military bayonet....and that he would keep this in or on the steering colum of his dune-buggy.

and wasn't it a gift from some of charlies biker friends? or they gave it to him in exchange for some drugs? i can't remember, maybe i dreamt it, lol.

Bobby didnt use Charlies sword. I think most of the Family had an affinity for Buck knives. BTW Buck knives are expensive knives. I hunt a lot and I dont have a Buck knife because of the price.
